How your routine makes a difference every day

Recovery, light legs, sleep, stress, energy: heat and cold work where you need them, without leaving home.

Muscles that recover faster

Muscle soreness lingering for two or three days after your workout? Heat followed by cold speeds up your recovery.

The sauna deeply relaxes the muscles, while the cold soothes inflammation. By alternating between the two, you boost circulation and improve blood flow to your muscles, allowing you to push through your workouts without holding back.

Lighter legs

Heavy, swollen legs by the end of the day, after working on your feet or in the heat? The hot/cold contrast jumpstarts circulation.

Heat dilates the blood vessels, while cold constricts them. This "pump" effect promotes venous return: the feeling of heaviness eases, even when it's hot.

A deeper sleep

Are you tossing and turning in bed, replaying your day over and over? An evening session helps your body switch into rest mode.

After the sauna, your body temperature drops: a natural signal for sleep. Cold, meanwhile, soothes the nervous system. Many fall asleep faster and wake up feeling more rested.

Less stress, more calm

Mental load, pressure at work, unable to switch off? Your ritual becomes a real decompression chamber.

Heat slows the pace and releases tension. Cold trains your nervous system to stay calm in the face of discomfort. You then carry this ability to regulate yourself back into your daily life.

Energy all day long

Afternoon slump at 3 p.m.? Need a third coffee? Ending your workout with cold water will wake you up for good.

Exposure to cold stimulates the natural production of norepinephrine and dopamine. You emerge alert, focused, and in a good mood, without stimulants.

Your wellness center, at home

No more trips, time slots to book, or subscriptions at a specialized center. Your routine is ready when you are.

Sauna and cold plunge side by side at home, on your patio or in your garden: you use them in the morning, after a workout, or in the evening, 7 days a week. And over time, it’s much more affordable than a gym membership.

FAQ - Contrast Ritual

I've never tried cold therapy or the sauna before. Is this for me?

Yes, this routine is designed to get you started. Begin gently: a few minutes in a sauna at a moderate temperature, then 30 seconds to 1 minute in water between 10 and 15°C. Then, gradually increase the duration and intensity at your own pace, session after session.

How to combine a sauna and an ice bath?

One contrast therapy cycle:

  • Sauna: 10 to 15 minutes of dry heat (up to 85°C, depending on your tolerance).
  • Ice bath: 1 to 3 minutes in water between 3 and 15°C.
  • Recovery: a few minutes of rest at room temperature.

Repeat for 2 to 3 cycles. Finish with cold for an energizing effect, or with heat to relax before bedtime.

Start gradually, stay well hydrated, and listen to your body. If you feel unwell, stop the session.

How long should you spend on it?

A complete hot / cold session takes 20 to 30 minutes. One session per day maximum is enough. To enjoy the long-term benefits of cold, aim for at least 11 minutes of cold per week in total.

When will I feel the effects?

The energy boost and the feeling of lighter legs are often noticeable right after getting out of the bath. For sleep, stress, and recovery, consistency makes the difference: the benefits build up over weeks of practice.

Does it take up much space?

No. The portable sauna is compact and can be assembled in 10 minutes without tools. The ice bath can be set up on any flat surface, indoors or outdoors: patio, garden, balcony, garage. Both can be easily stored when not in use.

Is this practice suitable for everyone?

If you have any health problems, you must consult a doctor before using the sauna or taking an ice bath.

You should not use the sauna or take an ice bath without medical advice if you are pregnant, have a history of heart disease or high blood pressure, have diabetes, wear a pacemaker, suffer from epilepsy, have an open wound, or have recently undergone surgery. For minors, medical advice is mandatory.

Start with short sessions, gradually increase the duration, and never push yourself too far.
